Dropped off the car with Louis the mechanic for some maintenance. Breakfast at House of Coffee: small Vic's Blend, toasted cheese bagel with cream cheese. Dan B picked me up in a new BMW 335is—so nice. Syndicate lunch at Gourmet Village, Millbrae; coffee, chai, and maple cream soda at Il Piccolo, Burlingame followed by a walk of Broadway Burlingame and a stop at a small wine shop where several made purchases. On the ride home we listened to an InSoc album released in 2007 that (I learned later) Patrick plays frequently at home. Rested. Patrick and I walked to the mechanic and picked up the car. Dinner at home: I made a tofu and vegetable stir-fry with soy sauce rice that Sam and Patrick had made earlier, hot water. Dessert: a bowl of Rainier cherries. This batch is mostly disappointing. Some of the cherries are perfectly sweet, but most of them are not sweet at all.
