Skipped breakfast. To work. Chancellor's Report on Mary Anne's Stewardship of School. Mary Anne received a glowingly positive report from Sue DH. Afterwards, awards for Steve K and Helene LL and a fun framed photo presented to Bob D. Breakfast from the cafeteria: scrambled eggs, wheat toast, hash browns. Spent the day mostly cleaning up the inbox, checked in briefly with Rodney about the kiosk. Office potluck at lunch. Muni and BART to the Mission. Gaby's birthday party at Charanga with The Jameses, Chris, Nate, Melissa, Delia, Nancy, Jim. A festively dressed man on stilts welcomed us at the entrance. A buxom woman with a giant martini glass sang and emceed. Appetizers and cake. Dinner with The Jameses, Chris, and Nate at Luna Park. Sangria all around. My meal: vegan cassoulet. Burgers for The Jameses and Chris. I forgot what Nate had. We talked about forthcoming trips to Hawaii (library space reopening) and Europe (Madrid and Paris), the Mission during Burning Man, iPhone apps, the opera.
