Usual oatmeal breakfast. House chores. Today I encountered CrashPlan error "Destination unavailable. Backup location is not accessible". The backup location was indeed accessible from Finder and I had both read and write permissions to the location. SOLUTION: I resolved the problem by repairing the drive holding the backup location with Disk Utility. Disk Utility reported and resolved a few errors, and then CrashPlan started working properly again. I suggest this error message be changed as follows: CURRENT: Destination unavailable. Backup location is not accessible. PROPOSED: The backup location is not accessible or might have disk errors. Began migration of Lodestar from 5dollar to Bluehost. Nap. Dinner at home with Patrick: ravioli in marinara sauce. Made mint chocolate chip cookies with Patrick. Shopped online. Late meal: shrimp-based ramen with carrot slices and paper-thin zucchini.
