Secured pathway data from Kristina for the mailing list rotations. Rotated the mailing lists (a day late—oops). Made some web edits for Melissa and Cindy. Chatted with Judy F about the poster project. Linkchecking. Left a message with Michael G. Lunch at desk: leftovers from last night. Called my credit card company to discuss a small issue in which I needed help. At the end of the call, the rep tried to sell me additional features. After listening to him drone on for several minutes, I got a few words in. I told him that I didn't appreciate getting a sales pitch for something unrelated to what I called about and asked him to let his supervisor know that. I also told him that if I got another sales pitch like that after I had called for help I would close my account. I also told him that because of his pitch I would do the opposite of what they wanted regarding the sales offer he made (not use their card in certain situations). I got him to apologize and understand, and all of this took about 25 seconds, and I was finally off the phone with them. Jeez, who was the person who had the bright idea of annoying a customer at the end of a perfectly fine customer service request? I've cancelled credit cards because of too many advertisements shoved in with my statement before, and I'll do it again, doggoneit! Dinner at home with Patrick: portabello mushroom ravioli in red sauce. Sleepy, went to bed early. Patrick made brownies today.
